One voice reads all your voiceover lines, so your video sounds consistent from start to finish. Ask the Agent: “Convert my camera clips to voiceover.” The Agent can’t change the voice, but the voice picker only takes a couple of clicks.

Do it yourself

Choose a voice

  1. Click the voice button (Select voice) next to the panel tabs.
  2. Pick a voice from the English, World or Creative tab. Your team’s personas sit at the top.
  3. To change the pace, click the speed button at the bottom of the picker, then choose a speed under Adjust talking speed, from Slowest to Faster.
Picking a voice also re-voices the camera clips already in your project, so everything matches. To keep a clip’s original audio, right-click it and choose Use original audio. To change the voice new projects start with, set Default voice in your Brand Kit.

Make a persona

A persona is your own cloned voice.
  1. In the voice picker, click New Persona.
The New Persona dialog, with an audio file picker and Create Persona
  2. Upload at least a minute of clean audio, then give the persona a name.
  3. Select Remove background noise from audio samples if you need it, then click Create Persona.
When you record or import a camera clip in a voice that doesn’t match any of your personas, Yarn shows New Persona Detected. Name the persona and click Done, or click Cancel. To remove a persona, right-click it in the voice picker and choose Archive Persona.

Swap camera audio for a voiceover

  • For one camera clip, open its Camera block’s ⋯ menu in the Script tab and choose Convert to voiceover.
  • For every camera clip at once, choose Convert camera clips to voiceover from the ⋯ menu next to the panel tabs.
Either way, the camera clip is replaced with voiceover lines that say the same words. Changed your mind? Press ⌘Z. Related: Edit with the Script · Camera clips and layouts
