Overview

Google Slides import helps when your source content already exists as slides. You can convert slide content into overlays, then adapt it for motion and timeline pacing. [insert screenshot of Google Slides import flow with link input and conversion preview]

What this workflow is good for

  • Reusing existing decks in video format.
  • Turning presentation slides into scene-level overlays.
  • Preserving messaging while upgrading pacing and motion.

Before you start

  • Confirm slide permissions allow import.
  • Choose which slide(s) map to each target scene.
  • Expect to refine typography and spacing for video readability.

Steps

  1. Copy the Google Slides source link/content.
  2. Start the Slides import action.
  3. Wait for conversion and load the generated overlays.
  4. Clean up text scale, spacing, and layer order.
  5. Group related elements for easier movement.
  6. Add animation/timing to match narration.

Check your result

  • Slide content is editable as overlays.
  • Visual hierarchy is clear at playback speed.
  • Imported elements are timed to narrative beats.

Troubleshooting

Formatting shifted after import

Adjust typography and spacing manually. Slide-to-video conversion is not pixel-identical.

Permission denied

Verify source sharing access and reconnect if needed.

Elements overlap after conversion

Use layout groups and alignment tools to normalize structure quickly.
