Overview

Figma import accelerates layout creation when design assets already exist. Treat imported content as a strong starting point, then clean up for motion and timing. [insert screenshot of Figma paste/import flow with source link and conversion status]

What to expect from import

  • Layout and basic styling are translated into editable overlays.
  • Some spacing, font, or effects may need manual cleanup.
  • Imported elements can be grouped, timed, and animated like native overlays.

Before you start

  • Ensure source design is final enough to import.
  • Keep layer naming clear in Figma for easier identification after import.
  • Decide whether this scene needs exact visual parity or practical adaptation.

Steps

  1. Copy the Figma source link/content.
  2. Use the Figma import action in overlays.
  3. Wait for conversion to complete.
  4. Review text styles, spacing, and hierarchy.
  5. Fix translation differences (fonts, paddings, overlaps).
  6. Add scene timing/animation after layout cleanup.

Check your result

  • Imported layout is editable and visually coherent.
  • Critical text and assets render correctly.
  • Timing and animation are added after structure is stable.

Troubleshooting

Imported layout does not match exactly

Import is translation-based. Expect minor cleanup, especially with advanced effects.

Text styling changed

Reapply project fonts and adjust line/spacing where source fonts are unavailable.

Import fails due to permissions

Reconnect integration permissions and retry.
