# Edit with the Script

> Cut camera clips and write narration by editing words.

The Script shows everything said in your video as text, so editing your video feels like editing a doc.

**Ask the Agent:** "Write a voiceover for scene 2." · "Remove the filler words and retakes from my camera clips." · "Convert my camera clips to voiceover."

## Do it yourself

Click **Script** at the top of the left panel.

### Camera clips

Each camera clip appears as a **Camera** block with its transcript. You can't type new words into it, but you can:

| To | Do this |
| - | - |
| Cut footage | Delete its words. |
| Bring a cut back | Click the cut's marker (**Edit Cut**), then click **Restore**. |
| Split the clip | Put your cursor in its text and press Enter. |

### Voiceover lines

To add narration, click the empty line at the end of a scene and type. Press Enter to split a line in two, or press it at the end of a line to start a new one.

Type in a voiceover line to change what the AI voice says. Each line has a menu beside it:

| Control | What it does |
| - | - |
| **Play** | Plays your video from this line. |
| **Preview** | Plays just this line (⌘Enter). |
| **Regen** | Makes the line's audio again (⇧Enter). |

### Scenes

Each scene's title has a ⋯ menu:

| Control | What it does |
| - | - |
| **Copy Scene** | Copies the whole scene so you can paste it on the timeline. |
| **Copy Script** | Copies the scene's words. |
| **Delete Scene** | Removes the scene. |

Click a scene's title to rename it. To start a new scene, type # on an empty line.

To split a scene at the playhead, click outside the text and press ⌘⇧C.

### The whole script

Open the ⋯ menu next to the panel tabs. **Copy Script** copies every word in the project, and **Download SRT...** saves a subtitle file.
