# Images and video

> Put logos, screenshots, photos and video inside an overlay.

Show a logo, a product shot or a short clip right next to your text.

**Ask the Agent:** "Make an image of a laptop on a desk and use it as the title card background." · "Put this logo in the top-right corner of the title card." (Click **+** to attach the logo first.)

## Do it yourself

### Add an image

* Click **Add Image or Video**, or press I, then upload a file or pick a recent one. Images go into the overlay at the playhead.
* Or copy an image and paste it into the editor. You can paste several at once.
* Or select an overlay and click **Insert** → **Image**.

To swap it later, right-click the image on the canvas and choose **Replace Image…**.

### Style it

Select the image to see its controls in the top bar.

| Control | What it does |
| - | - |
| **Cover** | Fills the box and trims off what doesn't fit. |
| **Contain** | Shows the whole image inside the box. |
| **Fill** | Stretches the image to the box. |
| **Corner Radius** | Rounds the corners. |
| **Border Width** | Adds an outline. Pick its color beside it. |
| **Opacity** | Makes the image see-through. |

Click **Show Detail Panel** and use **Colorize** to tint the whole image one color, which is handy for making a logo white.

### Video in an overlay

Select an overlay and click **Insert** → **Video**, or select a video clip on the timeline and switch it from **Timeline Clip** to **Graphics Video**.

<video autoPlay muted loop playsInline src="https://mintcdn.com/yarn/5d87hh-DSpIitaVH/images/video-graphics-video.mp4?fit=max&auto=format&n=5d87hh-DSpIitaVH&q=85&s=4b62640e7e657db30d8e2d7e87e80360" aria-label="Clicking a video clip on the timeline, then Timeline Clip → Graphics Video in the top bar: the clip leaves its track and comes back as an overlay" />

Then use **Edit Trim** (or double-click the video) to choose which part plays, and **Mute** to silence it. Switch back to **Timeline Clip** to make it a video clip again.
