# Working with the Agent

> How to ask the Agent for edits, what it can see, and what it can do for you.

The Agent lives in the **Agent** tab of the left panel. Tell it what you want, and it builds, edits, records and exports for you. It can even make a [demo of your product](https://docs.yarn.so/recording/ai-demos.md) from a description.

**Ask the Agent:** "Make a 60-second tour of our new Reports page for the help center." · "Open with the problem instead."

## How to ask

Type in **Ask, edit, or make something...** and press Enter (⇧Enter adds a line). The box also sits under the **Script** tab, so you can ask while you read.

For your most important work, click **Auto** at the bottom of the box to switch to **Max**.

The Agent sees the playhead, the current scene and what you've selected, so you can select a clip and say "make this a bit shorter".

Paste or drag in images, videos or a YouTube link, or click **+**, and add a message to go with them.

## Get better results

* Say what you want and what it's for. The Agent knows your product and brand, and asks if it needs more.
* Go back and forth. React to what it made, like "shorter" or "open with the problem".
* Name other videos to reuse their look, like "the same intro as our Getting Started video".
* Fix small things in a comment, at the exact moment on the timeline: press C and type after @Agent. See [Review with comments](https://docs.yarn.so/workspace/team.md#review-with-comments).

## While it works

* To change direction, send a new message. To stop, tell it to stop. Unfinished work isn't kept.

* If you switch away from Yarn, a Mac notification tells you when it's done.

* Don't like a change? Choose **Show Version History...** from the ⋯ menu next to the panel tabs, then point at a version and click **Revert**.

* To start fresh, choose **New Agent Chat** from the same menu. This clears the chat.

## Images and video

The Agent can make an image for your video, or change one you attach with **+**: "Make the sky in this image a sunset."

To turn an image into a short video clip, attach it and name Seedance: "Use Seedance to turn this screenshot into a 6-second clip that slowly moves in closer."
